We produce technical brushes for

for lots of customers worldwide.

Our history

Wahlmann- Brushes  was founded in 1904 as a fine- wire- drawing -factory, which produced non-ferrous metal-, iron-  and steel wire for the waving mill, sieve manufacturer and little brush factories.
About 1955 this production was converted  to the production of polishing brushes with fine iron- wires called “Bessemer-wires”.
During the 1960’s the hard single slice production was adapted to the production of polishing brushes as a spiral.
In the course of the next 25 years the sole proprietorship Heinrich Wahlmann was changed into a GmbH with the same name by family Döpper.
Today   Wahlmann-Brushes  supplies nearly all steel strip hardening companies of Europe with polishing brushes but also notable factories in India and Brasil.
In the year 2007 more than 410.000 km fine -wire (10  times the circumference of the earth) from 0,06 mm Ø to 0,25 mm Ø were produced as polishing brushes.
Nearly 20 highly motivated employees, many of them  working in the company for decades, today work at the production site  Steltenberg in Iserlohn  and produce  Wahlmann-Brushes.

Since more than 10 years the company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2008.
